Core Front End Engineer

As a Front End Engineer you will join the On Demand department, focussing on highly responsive, mobile-first front-end solutions, utilising the React Framework, for the Video-On-Demand, Catch-Up and New Original Content markets in the UK. These platforms serve millions of hours of content to 40m customers, across connected TV, Mobile, tablet and Desktop. You will work closely with colleagues from all disciplines, across cross-functional product teams, to meet our increasing scaling demands and ensure our diverse platforms are competitive in an ever-expanding market. Some of the key responsibilities are as follows: ● Working with Product Managers and Agile Delivery Managers to translate requirements and product features into manageable components/tasks, giving estimates, suggest solutions and identifying possible risks ● Working with test and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the life cycle ● Contributing towards best practice for application development; specifying, designing and implementing reusable components that are efficient, scalable and well abstracted ● Writing, reviewing and taking responsibility for technical documentation that assists teams in picking up domain experience.
